Well it's been a while, huh? Yeah break went by so fast. I had a blast, best Christmas break yet.
-Chattanooga was amazing. Loved watching the mountaineers win again, for the 3rd time. Rushed the field and everything. Rode with 7 other people in a Suburban. Fun times.
-Christmas crept up on me. It was good, lots of time with the fam. Christmas Eve Service at church is as always my favorite part. Mom and I went ice skating a couple of days before Christmas. I am awful at it now. I used to be ok but now it's just not so fun anymore. Mom however, still rocks at it - not bad for an almost 50 year old! (love you mom!)
-Santa brought me some cool stuff - lots of books, mainly childrens books for my collection, an i-trip to play my ipod on in my car, a subscription to Relevant Magazine and some money with which I bought a new vera purse and wallet. Love both of them, especially the purse because it hangs over my shoulders which will be great for wearing around campus with my backpack.
-Christmas dinner at the Robinsons, lots of good times. Had a very delicious meal and us kids (of which I am the youngest) played Phase 10 the whole night which I had never done before. It was so much fun!! I bought it yesterday so that I can play it with friends at school!
-Babysat for some friends from Church for 3 days straight after Christmas which was fun.
-the most exciting thing is I WENT TO FLORIDA AND DISNEY. LaBranda and I went to Florida from Thursday-Monday and we had a blast. We got to get into Disney for FREE because her friend works there so we got guest passes. We stayed with my Aunt and Uncle which was so nice and relaxing.
-we went to all 4 parks in two days which was rediculous but we wanted to pack in as much as possible. I went on my very first upside down rollercoaster and loved it - more on that later, i did NOT want to do it at first.
-got to see Carly, one of my friends from my India team for a day and it was soooo great. We went to downtown Orlando and hung out for the day while LaBranda had lunch with her aunt. It was great to see Carly and catch up on life. That makes 4 India team friends that I have seen since we got back in August - yay!
-celebrated Shem's Birthday yesterday with some dinner at PF Changs - very yummy and the company was great. We had our own private table that is actually behind the main seating section and is open to the kitchen so you can see them cooking all the time which LaBranda loved.
-going back to Boone on Saturday which is bittersweet. I am sad to leave friends here cause it's been fun just hanging out but I really miss everyone from Boone so much and can't wait to do things. also can't wait to go buy a new National Championship T-shirt.
-I got some new CDs with Christmas money that I love: Sara Groves, Caedmons Call and Brooke Fraser - Brooke is actually a New Zealander that I heard of through Carly and Laura (India Team). Carly was in NZ a couple summers ago and got her CDs and Laura's sister is actually friends with her and Laura wrote the lyrics for one of her songs "Deciphering Me". She is such a great singer and musician and I highly reccomend her - the CDs aren't available here in the US but you can get it on i-tunes.
More Pictures to come soon when I get them all organized and all that jazz.
