So I went skiing last night! It was the first time that I had been in two years! Luckily I got back in the swing of things pretty quickly. Taylor and Katie have a class so Lauren and I went to ski with them once their class was done. It was Lauren's first time and I was supposed to teach her but I wasn't so great at that. She had a rough time and almost gave up but towards the end she worked on the basics and will do great next time.
Taylor and I did the blues together. She is doing awesomely well for only her 2nd time skiing. We had a lot of fun being "ski bunnies" together. It was raining off and on so that was kind of miserable but I was having such a great time it didn't bother me too much.
And yes I did fall once. I was trying to be a hot shot and do sharper turns but i wiped out. It was funny. Didn't hurt, got right back up. I also realized that I am a better skiier without poles. When I saw Tay and Katie without them I was reminded of when I was little and learned how to ski and how we couldn't have poles. So last night after a bit I decided to abandon the poles and go solo. It really helped my balance a lot!
If I only had more money to go more often! Oh well that's all for now!

Updatez

Tonight I had dinner with the Chancellor. Okay so it wasn't just me and Dr. Peacock but I did have dinner at his house and met and talked with him. Each year the teaching fellows get to go up there and have a nice dinner with him. I went with some friends and within 5 minutes of stepping into the gorgeous house we were greeted by Dr. Peacock himself. He's a really nice guy, easy to carry conversation with. We had a fun time checking out the downstairs of the house and eating some good food.

Happy
Just received an e-mail with happy news from the State Board of Education. If you received at least an 1100 on your SAT you do not have to take the Praxis I. For those of you who dont' know the Praxis is a test that is usually required to be admitted to any state school's college of ed and is pretty expensive. This means that I do not have to study for this stupid test cause I don't have to take it! Yay!

The first week of classes has come and gone very quickly. My classes are pretty good. Here's the schedule:
MW 11:00-11:50 Aerobics (super fun cause my roommate and I are taking this together)
MW 1:00-1:50 - Child Dev of the 3-5 year old
MW 4:00-5:15 English Literature (ewww i don't like Brit Lit)
TR 11:00-12:15 - Marriage & Family Dev
TR 12:30-1:45 World Civ II
TR 2:00-3:15 Math
Yes that is right I do not have Friday classes! And I am loving it! It works out very nicely since Crusade meets on Thursday nights. That way I feel like I can actually enjoy CRU without worrying about homework.

Back in Boone
Today I arrived back in Boone after a nice Christmas break. I rode back with Ashlee and we had a fun time jamming to some music. Got my books and everything today. Went to dinner with Ashlee and Megan and Rebecca (not from Mt. Vernon). Then we went to Lowes and got the floor insulations stuff to make my new bulletin board which looks fabulously cute. I love it! Anyways I thought that I would put up some pictures from last semester. Sort of a

A New Way To Update!
So as I have said I will now be using this site as a way to update everyone back home about my fun filled life at ASU. Making a newsletter was just too hard to format and put together all of the time. I'm not sure what all I will put up here. I guess occasional updates about stuff and probably pictures as well. Well that's all for now!
